SummaryTobacco smoking is an established risk factor for periodontitis, but the evidence for a role of e-cigarettes in the development of periodontitis is weak. The project aims to investigate whether isolated e-cigarette use is associated with periodontal disease and tooth loss. We use NAKO data to examine the relationship between exclusive e-cigarette use and periodontal measurements and tooth count.
